Fender bringing the Coronado and original Starcaster - not the ultra junk cheap one - out under the modern player line.
I'm a tad excited about this... I hear they weren't that good to play but I think it's kinda cool ?
I've always been a fan of anything hollow bodied (except for humans... I like 'em with functioning organs and stuff)

Starcaster much more a Fender than Coronado-I-wanna-look-like-a-330 eh?
Yup. The starcaster, with the offset body, has a very jazzmaster/jaguar-ness to it. I do like the flat bottom on the coronado though... It just creates a subtle difference
I'm very excited about the starcaster and caronado basses. I had a modern player and it was a well built instrument. But the price tag does seem a little much for a made in china instrument.
Wow............ This Starcaster talk has got my interest going. I own an original Starcaster, (Pics below) but I'll be watching this. I don't know how well made the Reissue will be, but I'd be interested to know.

I see they've also bought in a hot-rod 60s Tele, like a Nashville Tele, and they're doing the MIM Cabronita in Seafoam Green ?
I think these are sexy as hell, awesome...great move by Fender.
Much as I love it, It's a bit of a hipster pandering move on their part though ? kind of like the jaguar and jazzmaster when they were reissued ?
Guitars that weren't well recieved start making a comeback through more obscure indie/hipster bands. It brings home the bacon though ?
Great news indeed and I hope Fender nailed it. Eversince becoming aware of the Starcaster it has aesthetically been one of my favourite Fender designs,so I hope they sound good too. They look cool, but coolness counts for beans when they aren't up to scratch in the tone dept...
