Strats of GFSA

Don't thank me. I know we were all soon going to have the "Blue MIM Strats with a Warmoth neck and gold hardware of GFSA" thread. Post Strats. Any strats. Rule: You must own it. You must submit a pic of your actual guitar, not a product shot. It must have a strat-shaped body (my pacifica doesn't count. Your Strat shaped ESP with three humbuckers and a floyd rose and a pointy headstock does.) That should be fine.

Some of mine over the last few years.

On the left, Fender American Series, ASH, Sienna Burst.
The blue one is a 1994 MIJ 62 Re-Issue Fender 'Photoflame'.

Another American Series Sienna.

Crafted In Japan 1968 Re-Issue...Hendrix...almost as nice as my pool. ?

Thanks chaps! An idea I got from someone else (can't remember who. Thorn? Tyler?). Really helps if you like the thick stainless neck plates like I do.

The jack plate is the one I like best. Such a great idea whoever it was.

Reinhard wrote @Alan, did you you do the recess work yourself?
Yup. Freehand with a Dremel.

Wow. I'd be nervous trying that. I must get myself a beater guitar to experiment with these kinds of things some time.

My baby!

Really cool colour burst that!

And hopefully this counts. It's a parts caster with Mighty Mite body and neck. Currently my favorite to play on.

Certainly does!
Looks nice ? I like the coulour of the Squire too - goes well with the tort pickguard.

One of my recent purchases was this 1963 fender Strat with factory Gold Hardware.

Wow! Is that a reissue custom or an original. Great condition, looks hardly played!

It is an original 1963 Fender Stratocaster.
The original owner used it for a couple months.
He gave up playing and put the guitar into storage with a matching Fender Showman amp.

Wow what a lucky find! That looks to good to be true! Amazing! Was it found in SA?

MikeM

Are you going to hold onto this one?

rikus

Yes, good old Kempton Park

I will try, it is rare guitar and in mint condition.
The downside with a vintage guitar this clean is that you never feel comfortable playing it.

Yeah. Great investment, but a vintage beater is more practical for playing. Beautiful guitar. Congrats on snagging it. It's incredible what's lurking in SA.

Edit: We now note that we have everything from a pristine golden-age strat to well-loved budget off-brands. Isn't it nice when everyone can play? ?

Congrats Mark (VG), that is an amazing find .......

Reinhard

Vintage Guitar, that strat is incredible. I don't know how you sell them, I'd want to keep them all!

Chabenda

Hmmmmm... a killer dilemma guitar!!! INCREDIBLY valuable - that's a pension in itself!!! But so mint that you don't dare play it!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!! If it was mine I'd sell it to a collector and buy a beat up '63 that I could play comfortably. You have an amazing guitar. Congratulations!

As a matter of interest, what type of neck does it have? Mine was a 'B' but felt like a baseball bat.

Attila

Ok so .... I got me a Vintage mahogany strat, and .....it sounds pretty good

Notice the 1 Vol 1 Tone config.
