singemonkey Nice looking guitar. A bit borderline on the body shape rule, but I guess people can self-police as they see fit ?

It is an original 1963 Fender Stratocaster. The original owner used it for a couple months. He gave up playing and put the guitar into storage with a matching Fender Showman amp. Wow what a lucky find! That looks to good to be true! Amazing! Was it found in SA? Yes, good old Kempton Park Got me thinking what condition is the amp in? Any pics?
Vintage-Guitar Chabenda wrote Hmmmmm... a killer dilemma guitar!!! INCREDIBLY valuable - that's a pension in itself!!! But so mint that you don't dare play it!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!! If it was mine I'd sell it to a collector and buy a beat up '63 that I could play comfortably. You have an amazing guitar. Congratulations! As a matter of interest, what type of neck does it have? Mine was a 'B' but felt like a baseball bat. I haven't taken the neck off to see the neck stamp but it feels like a typical late 63 B neck profile.
DonovanB I guess it's time to weigh in with this one... This is my strat before; This is my strat now; MIJ in 1990 Squier. MIA std pups, Locking tuners and Chris form Marshall Music put some new fancy wire in and the tone came alive. I love this geet.

ftcl This is the first electric guitar that I bought. It started life as a red and white Squier strat. I like it quite substantially more now:
shaundtsl This is my strat, still unsure on a lot of the details of it, but a great guitar either way and really lovely to play.
Sean My Strat...and Tele ? Took it with me on a road trip I've just arrived back from, but it saw very little playing time ? I really love this thing :-[

That's the problem with Teles - you have the option of vintage bridge without piezos and better electric tone or modern six saddle with piezos... ☹
Sean Norman86 wrote Selby, is that a 50's tribute or re issue? Love the tobacco burst and the gilmour ? I recall Selby used to have his guitars listed in his sig. That list was positively mind boggling. It wouldn't surprise me if it was neither ?
AlanRatcliffe Just be aware that not everyone with a nice collection likes to broadcast to the world exactly what they have that's worth taking... ?
