hi guys
I'm busy building up my pedalboard and was wondering, i have a zoom 505 II multi-effect pedal that i use mostly for tuning.
will it effect my signal chain in any way if i have that pedal in on a bypass and just use it to tune?
or will it take away from quality of the tone?

firstly, why dont you check? ?
second, if it does, you can use a splitter and run the signal into the tuner without it going through to affect the rest of the chain.
a lot of pedals have 2 outputs and u can use one of those instead of a splitter

It's buffered, so it will affect the tone, even in bypass. Whether that is a good/bad/tolerable thing, I agree - let your ears decide.
If you don't have a pedal with a tuner out, just keep an eye out for a good true bypass tuner - they do pop up occasionally at good prices.

the level i practice at it doesn't really make a difference (i don't think my ears are gifted enough to really pick it up anyway ? )
i was just wondering if it would make a difference when i gig at higher levels. and you never know when there's someone in the crowd
that will hear the difference haha.
thanx guys

i have a boss ch 1 chorus pedal that has 2 outputs, so i put the multi effect pedal out the second output, going nowhere.
that seems cool because its not in my signal chain, didn't think of that. thanx!

Might not work for two reasons:
Firstly the chorus will automatically switch to stereo with the second jack plugged in and your normal signal chain won't get the effect (or only half of it).
Secondly, some stereo effects don't output anything from the second output when bypassed.
