We're playing a relatively small area and don't need a huge rig.
I usually use the Peavey 100W PA and two 10" speakers as a master and the Phonic 80W plus it's two 10" speakers as a slave and it gives me I nice bright & rounded effect.
If I use both sets of speakers on the Peavey amp it gives me 150Watts into 4 ohms for the four speakers.
Now I'm trying two Cerwin Vegas plus the two Peavey speakers which gives me 150watts into 4 ohms... from the Peavey amp.
The Cerwyn Vegas 15" speakers adding big bottom end to the mix. Line out to the Phonic 80 watt amp driving two 10" speakers @ 8 ohms adding brightness.
All in all a well rounded mix... The missing link is my own lack of vocal expertise... :-[
If I get too close to the SM58 I feel the booming from the speakers, while If I pull away it's screechie...

The rig serves the vocals and acoustic guitar plus bass drum...
My input level on the mic is at the most set at 1 so it's not too sensitive...

The Behringer bass amp serves as a monitor speaker and is not causing a problem.

Perhaps it's as simple as less bass setting on the master amp.

Any advice...?

You're missing a highpass filter on the mic input - something only usually found on bigger mixers.

The compromise on a smaller mixer is to bring the bass down on the mic channel and get up close to the mic (better for feedback too).
Thank Alan. It sounded OK through the mixing desk when Rod set it up.
I'm just using my small amps hoping to get more bottom end from the 15" speakers.
I'll bring down the bass on the mic, but leave more for the acoustic guitar and kick drum. 8)
I'm still hobbling on a fractured fibia, so I needed the other dudes to carry the stuff.
They bitched like hell carrying those two Cerwin Vegas up the few steps the venue had. ☹
What on earth d'you such monstrosities for in a tiny pub. ???
Just using one 150W amp playing through two sets of speakers @ 4ohms made such a huge difference.
Twas not about more power or a bigger amp but the two decent 15" speakers made all the difference in the world.
It took me by surprise and I forgot my own lines at times. :-[

Just to put a hurt on my ears, my lead guitarist Mike has sent me pic of his most recent inclusion...
Swopped the Crate for a Marshall... This will surely give that LP more whack... 8)
He tends to put his amp right behind me on stage ☹

How thoughtful of him. Good luck
Those things have master volume knobs on them. There owners become nicely familiar with all of the settings between 0 and 2 so that they sound no louder than an amp you can carry in one hand. But yeah. Theoretically terrifying to have on stage with you. Practically they just take up more space.
