Amp noise.
Chocklit_Thunda
Hi.
I have a question.
(I'm asking it in this awkward format to mess with you guys.)
How can I cut down on noise with my amp? I know a shielded cable works but what else can I do to get rid of that annoying and overly loud hum?
Understand the hum is sometimes actually louder than the actual guitar....
Also with the cables there's an annoying click sound that comes through the amp. It's repetitive....
Let me describe it (with the added bonus of me looking like an idiot on the Internet)
It's all, "zzzzzzzz-click!-zzzzzzzz-click!-zzzzzzzz-click!-zzz....."
It even hums on the clean channel....
Besides throwing my amp out my window, what else could I do to reduce the noise?

Thanks GH
I didn't think that electric fences could play a part.
It's worse now that I'm at a jam session at a friends complex
