Picked up a really cool little amp today. Now instead of coming right out and telling you what it is, lets play a little game. I'll post the correct number of X's and you try guess what it is. Pics will be posted once the correct answer is given.

XXXX XXXXXXXX XXX XX XX

Clue: first four X's are the year.
    1964 Jennings Vox AC 15

      @ Manfred! Indeed there is!
Ok, here's a couple of clues:

          Bingo! ?
? Congrats man, how does it sound?
Thanks! It came up from Cape Town. Do you perhaps know the amp or have seen it before?

I tried it for all of 10 minutes so far just to make sure everything was working. Will probably have to wait till the weekend to play it properly. But that aside, the little bit I did hear shows a lot of promise.

One unusual thing about this amp is that it seems to be the Lead and Bass circuit, but in an amp labeled as a PA. It's got the couple of extra parts that differentiate the 2 circuits, and they still have that red stuff painted over the solder joints so you can see they weren't added afterwards.
Few more pics while it's out of the headbox:

I remember seeing the ad for it on Gumtree if I am not mistaken. My plexi PA was an awesome sounding amp, I am sure this will sound great.
                    O_o

What a lucky man. Congrats!! I love these old Marshalls ?

                      Thanks dude!

From what I understand, the transformers are the same ones used in the original 18 watt amps, although the rest of the circuit is different. As far as I know, it doesn't have as much drive as the 18 watt, but that doesn't matter to me since I have 3 other firebreathing amps! ?

The head box is filthy and covered with some sort of sticky gunk, so I'll post some more pics of it back together once I've got it cleaned up.
Something else I just realised that is a little wierd. This amps serial number is exactly 200 numbers less than my 50 watt plexi. sn is 1484, plexi is 1684.
                          Nice find man ? Enjoy!

I think you'll find it has more than enough drive when you put it on 10 (and more than enough volume too haha).

                                Mine's a model 1930 Popular. Needs some TLC. There's a thread somewhere.
