What brand of bass is this??

The headstock has 4 white diamonds at the top of the headstock but no name under the stars. What the heck is this guitar brand?

I have seen both guitars and basses with this a couple of times but only have a photo of the bass--where I will post this also so as to cover both camps.

im pretty sure the shape of the top of the headstock is the "mustache" shape that Gibson had patented. Hence the 1970's Ibanez lawsuit issue. Is the bass from pre 1970?

As for the 4 stars, thats a mystery..
