It it the band with the little energetic dude on vocals? If it is, I saw them a few weeks back. Rocking stuff ?

    These guys are awesome. Saw a video of them perform at a weekly music club (every Monday evening, I think) called the Barleycorn.

    Quite awesome.

    Richard does teach here in Cape Town, I actually contacted him earlier today to find out his rates and I must say that it's a little on the pricey side but I suppose that it's warranted with him being such a great player and all.

        I've seen the bassist do a workshop once before at Paul Bothner's in N1 City Value center with Shaun Johannes and another guy, can't remember what his name is but man can those guys play!

        And of course the incomparable Kevin Gibson on drums. Such a tight drummer.

            When I was in Cpt recently , a mutual friend arranged that I could meet Richard for a 'lesson' during the holiday period . We chatted about a practise regimen for me and about gear and pedals etc.
            Awesome player and a very cool guy with a great sense of humour . I bought the cd from him as well.
            Try get the cd .....its great .

            I'm hoping to have a few lessons with him some time later in the year though. I believe that it would be well worth it.

            I do plan on getting the CD, they certainly make great music.

                Pebbleman are pretty cool but as far as lessons go I'd advise going to Renesongs (on the forum, and disclaimer: a band mate) because he is far more versatile in terms of styles he can play (and therefore teach). Lives in same area too.

                      Yep, Goodwood is definitely a drive! There'll be someone nearby (after all Bellville is right there and that is/was the epicentre of Cape original music).
