Methinks OP is missing the point of a heated discussion: you need fire to heat it. This fire comes from us feeling very strongly about something. You can say that you don't want to buy xxx and I personally won't feel the need to reply. Say that no-one should ever buy xxx and something screams inside me that another opinion needs to be posted (for example).

I reckon an actuary would struggle, they tend to prefer logical solutions. An iMF economist might be better placed to assist...E.g. assume that all RRP's will be subject to a 30% discount and price accordingly - when some sucker (aka Greece) doesn't ask for the discount, go out and immediately spend the difference on a weekend in Amsterdam ?

Ahhh, just back from a 3week tour of euro-land sans guitar - after 2weeks I gave in and looked for something travel friendly. Decided a Yamaha GL1 (guitalel) would be the way forward, 1 phone call to Proaudio in Athens determined there was no stock in Greece of GL1's - 1 email to a Dijkman Music in Amsterdam got me four to try out when I visited the shop (salesman was waiting for me and had them out ready to play).

Great service for a 70Euro guitar...beats the best in SA (I've experienced anyways).
