The 50% off all strings a couple of weeks back was the bollocks, still restringing guitars like crazy.

I Got my Boss Rc-30 New , for 2400 at this sale ?

I found this sale to be very disappointing.

Drove all the way to the Fourways branch to see unexciting stock going for average prices.

From now on it is only TOMS for me.

My general experience with music mates (all of them) is the same ..their pricing is generally higher but this may be due to real estate costs (must be expensive being in shopping malls) and they are generally less likely to haggle. for conveninece sake i may buy low ticket items from them but big purchases i go elsewhere where pricing is much keener. one nice thing is that in the shopping centres they are open on sundays.

their stock ranges are also poor in relation to other stores.

Fair enough.

The "convenience" music store.
Margins are pretty tight in this industry.

I guess they even have a branch in Sandton City so I guess you cant expect the same prices as Braamfontein or Randnurg (music connection).
I guess TOMS Sandton is also in a pretty good location and they have great deals.

Did anyone see if the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier they had at the Faerie Glen branch was on sale?

The Music Mate at Retail Crossing, West Rand - along Hendrik Potgieter, near Seemans has turned out to be incredibly helpful and I have had some good dealings with them.

Not a huge selection of Guitars, mostly Cort, Crafter and Vintage, but I did buy my Cort Earth Mini through them and they were the cheapest, fastest and friendliest out of all the Guitar Shops I enquired at.

I managed to get a good deal on the G7 Capo on the sale day, and I was impressed as it was a low ticket item. Their sandwiches were the bollocks as well.

I believe they want in the range of R34k for it, but even at that price, sexual favours is obligatory ?
