Busy looking at Spectrasonics Omnisphere. I had Atmosphere a few years ago, but it was a bit bland and a lot of the patches were very samey" compared to NI Absynth. I'm primarily interested in expanding my library of beat synced patches and pads.
Any users? Opinions? Problems?

I've tried it, it is hugely powerful and sounds amazing but dear lord does it eat processor power ?
If you can afford it I rate it's probably a pretty good idea, the sounds are amazingly high quality and very unique - I'm not too sure about the beat synced patches but it has crap tons of pads/softer synthy swelling things - I get particularly carried away in the world music banks, some of those sounds are stellar (throat singers, meditation bowls) ?

Thanks (and thanked) Chad!
OK. I think I'm going to try it. Processing power isn't a big issue these days as I can always freeze a synth track if it takes up too much oomph.
No problems with crashing or stuck notes? That was the dealbreaker with Atmosphere for me.
Mostly the complex pad sounds of synths like this are overkill in a mix, but sometimes I need something to fill out a lot of space behind a nylon guitar. While I truly love Absynth, it can be a bit in your face for pads sometimes and a lot of the rhythmic patches use the same/similar rhythms.
