Hi Folks,
Well, sorry this is my third posting before actually posting here!! I must have been seriously tired last night when I registered, as I kept looking for an Intro thread, and totally missed it! I am full of flu at the moment though! thats my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!
So, I'v ekinda been floating around the back alleys of this forum for a while now, but never got around to registering, but finally decided to take the plunge and join last night!
I'm originally from Liverpool, and moved out here about 8 years ago. I used to work in a recording studio back there, and then also worked at a college teaching and ' Technically supporting' the Music Tech course that they ran there, before I quit to follow my wifes career out here.
I also play bass guitar, and have been playing for near on 20 years now, and owned or played a large number of basses and amplifier setups over those years. I just love bass, and can't get enough of it! I recently played at Fancourt supporting Watershed, Arno Carstens, Prime Circle and Freshlyground, which has to be one of the best experiences of my life! Thoroughly brilliant! The guys from Prime Circle are all top okes, and we enjoyed several drinks, and some great stories and jokes with them over the few nights we were there!
Anyway, I have since left that band I was in, for various reasons, and am currently in the process of setting up a new band with a friend. Its exciting times, and I look forward to getting gigging again! I also play bass and do 'live' sound for my church, which I'm regulalrly involved in, and run the sound 'ministry' there.
Anyways, thanks for a cool forum! Here's to lots of future discussion!
