TJ's Acoustic Music Club open mic night - Thursday 26 April

It's that time of the month now, and you've been practicing and you feel that urge burning within you... so come along to the famous friendly open mic night at TJ's!

Venue: Marks Park sports club, Judith Road, Emmarentia, Johannesburg (tell the guys at the main gate you're here for TJ's and they will direct you).
Time: First act goes on at 20:00, doors open 19:15
Admission: R25

Food and drinks may be ordered from the Marks Park staff. There is plenty of secure parking.

TJ's provide PA and mics. Each act gets 3 songs or 15 minutes. You can play covers or originals. You can play solo or in a small group. You can play instrumentals. You can do an a capella spot. No backtracks!

I'll be there, though I don't know yet if I'll be playing.

Alright! I'll be there. Been rather busy lately but I've got this one marked in my diary and I'll bring the guitar along and see if I can secure a spot on the roster.

Precisely. I'll be there, my guitar will be there and I might even bring three songs with me as well. Who else? C'mon guys, it's time we get to meet some more GFSA'ers in person.

In case the music isn't enough of a draw card already, their pub grub is good and their beer is cold.

Playing is not mandatory. Encouraged, but not mandatory. There are plenty of regulars who just listen. So even if you don't want to play, come along and say hello and cheer other GFSAers on.

Dunno if I'm playing. Overnight my throat has swollen up like a very big thing.
