Thats nice. Could you perhaps tell is the price...more or less
Looks great and yes, the price would make it even more interesting ... ?
I've played it and yes it is really amazing to hear what comes out of such a small package. From a awesome overdriven sound to a bluesy clean if you turn doen you guitar volume. Cleans up really well. Like mentioned before do not under estimate this package!! You could play small gigs with it and if you mic it up you could just about walk on any stage. If you like a classic marshall-like tone that cleans up really well this is the beast!!

I have also enquired about the price - R4000.00.

I you compare it to the Zvex Nano then this is a real bargain. Not only the price but sound too!!

Could be worse, but I think I'll wait for some to rear their heads on the 2nd hand market ??? Picked up my Peavey 50 Watter for R4.5k... :?
Man, this is seriously so tempting... Must... Resist!!

unless i'm wrong ........and i could be as i have often spoken to the guy who builds these amps, about tube amps and even a possible custom build for me BUT not about this model in question the 2 watter .........however his other builds are all custom built /made to order / hand built/point to point / boutique amps that he builds ..................

so this amp should be be hand made with point to point wiring with best componants and all for 4K .......

so if by that you implying with the quoted post that they expensive at 4K ......don't forget Craig amps is a hand made boutique amp , so don't compare amp prices to a mass produced peavey products made in east, but against say the top of the line vox hand wired range of amps ........or other custom builders prices
                I agree with keira.

it takes alot of time to handwire a valve amp, let alone the finish on the outside, just by looking at the picture i can see alot of effort has been put in.

so its an option between mass produced china PCB's(most amps on the market today) and handwired valve amp with very good parts.

R4000 is a very good price

                  I bow to the all-knowing one ?

I didn't realize these were hand-made. I'm afraid I'm not that clued up on the manufacturing processes or anything of amps in general, but now I know. Thanks for the info, Keira ?

+1 I've not seen this particular model "in the flesh" so to speak, but I've seen and played his Brit 15, and the workmanship is top notch.
I see Dan Patlansky used the Brit 15 alongside his Dr Z at his latest album launch a couple of weeks ago, he also had some good stuff to say about the amp on his Facebook page.

Here's a couple of pics of the amps on stage:

4 clip is eyewatweringly expensive when one looks at the market place. yip its top class componenets (i would think), yip it "appears" that much effort has gone into it however mass production results in cheaper per unit pricing ...if these were made in china to the same specs with the same componenets chances are they would be under 2 clip. MAss production assembly line style reduces costs...dramatically.

4 grand buys you an ibanex head + cab unit , buys a marshall haze 40 (if u add a hundred or 5), a Class 5 made in UK, and a number of other options , when viewed in that light , 4 grand has to be viewed as a lot of money.

That in mind, you are directly comparing a boutique, hand made amp, with a mass produced chinese...

Also, I doubt that it'd be under R2k with the same components.. Parts really add up.
at the risk of being lynched... Labour adds up, not parts...

if you buying 5 of and if you buying 2000 of the price of the same parts is reduced drastically ,,same parts completely different pricing ....

then add an assemly line type of scenario , efficient productive and cheap labour and without a doubt the same would be vastly cheaper.

boootik amps are expensive though , thats the nature of the model, low numbers high cost , high margins.

dont diss chinese made products just cos they are from china ....there is a lot of top class fabrication going on there when under licence.

Not dissing chinese made gear cause of where it's made.

However compare the components in 99% of the cases.

Anyone know of chinese amps that use orange drops even? Sprague caps? F&Ts? High grade transformers?
I'm not sure why we are arguing over prices? If it's priced to high for you, don't buy it? I know that if I was playing more guitar these days, this would be my next purchase. I'd love a small 2 watt. A hand built amp would be the best. I can imagine the tone on that amp is stunning. So, i could get a haze and whatever else. To me, I'd rather pay more dough and get this little beaut!
