Never judge an AC30 by its cover

This AC30 is not in best shape yet, but boy it sounds so sweeet. It's a JMI topboost from circa '67 with Woden transformers and original Mullards still in the preamp !

It carries an unusual VOX badge....these were put on export models to the USA , but some found their way to SA as well back then.

Vic that AC30 has some serious mojo! Strange how one can look at an amp and just know it sounds awesome.Mine is in storage, I really need to play it more often.

I really think it needs (cosmetic) restoring. Problem is finding the right material and hardware for the job as my restorer has run out of stuff...will have to get it from abroad now....however I'm not in a hurry (yet) ?
