I would like to do some video lessons covering a couple of techniques that some of my students, and band mates, find particularly difficult. Warm-up routines, alternate picking, legato, sweep picking etc... What I have found while playing guitar and practising, is that some techniques are more comfortable to certain players, and those techniques are developed at a faster rate. Said techniques are then focused on more because they come more naturally, leading to neglect of the others because they are more difficult to come by, and speed up. I have made up my own practice and warm-up routines that you guys might find interesting... What I would like to know is, would anyone be interested in watching? If even one person is interested, I will post some ?
There are a slew of videos online, but maybe I can help in some way, provide some tips that could be beneficial ?

I'm pretty sure some guys would be interested and, while there are a plethora of vids already available, knowing you from the forum will probably count for something...

The way I see it, if I watch the video and learn one thing it's been worth it.

Bring it on, I'm always keen.

I second! I am interested. Any lesson that will aid me in becomming a better player.

Problem is, I'm already outnumbered here.

Hey guys, I have been inundated at work lately. I plan on posting the first of the 5 part mini-series if you will, either Friday or Saturday. Compliments of the season to all, hope it was a great one! I cannot remember what I did, so mine was awesome ?

Bought a decent webcam, got back most of my stuff that was stolen and or broken. PC is now operational(finally), hence my ability to post. God willing I will be able to do at least one or two videos before another cataclysmic event takes place and renders all my efforts moot...

we aim to please. now, how's your project coming along?

I have been working diligently. Had some camera woes, but that should be sorted now. I am a little worried about content tbh. Dunno what to begin with really? Any suggestions perhaps? Done a section on alternate picking, legato, string-skipping, sweeping, weird arpeggios, and one on shifting the pentatonic scale around the neck so that you are not bound to the "BOX"...

if you're asking me, i'd say start with a basic lesson plan and work to that. then you can populate the lessons around the plan - even if some of the lessons have a 'coming soon' message rather than an actual lesson, folks will know what you're offering, or planning to offer, and you're also giving folks some sort of an expectation around how you'll roll things out. plus, you can actually start putting lessons up, getting feedback, and building your future video lessons around that feedback. feedback will be crucial to making this project come alive, and you won't get any until you post a few lessons.
g'luck!

I'll vote for breaking out the pentatonic box - that would be cool!
