I have serious GAS for one of these puppies:

I'm not a huge pedal guy but my quest for a fuzz that loves humbuggies has been a long one and I think one of these is the answer! But there is a serious price difference!

the musket provides the clean boost, seems to me to be the only plus over the big muff wicker (for want of a better small name for this big-little pedal). i'd go for the muff. it's a classic and it gives simple control over your tone. i'd definitely go for it if you have a boost pedal in your collection. in fact, you now have me thinking about it!

I'm with Dom here. And the Wicker version of the Muff is one of the nicer versions (unless you want to mod it).

I'm totally against the Muff over the Musket.
The Musket has far more versatility in lower and higher gain ranges. It's my go-to distortion pedal. Particular if you want to use it with buckers. There's a pre-gain bass control which can take you from regular muff mushyness to something a bit more solid, and the pre-gain control which also has a big impact on your attack.

Agreeing with Mike here - I got given the Little Big Muff for my birthday, and I returned it as the Musket just destroyed it.

Big muff sucks compared to a musket for fuzz, dynamics and options. The muff I had for a few weeks and did not enjoy it at all. The musket is basically a far better version of the muff.
And for humbuckers I would definatly still get the musket. Price differance does not matter.

Hey guys shot for all the advice, I would love to demo the two side by side! does anyone know if there is a store that brings in "Blackout effectors"??
MikeM
Nope, they're one of the best boutique fuzz companies out there, so knowing what SA is like, I don't think there are too many floating around.
MIKA-the-better-one
but its esy to get one to SA pricatly... and worth it...... basically you dont need ot ab them, the blackout wins handsdown....

After some reading, turns out it has a linear boost in front of the circut, which makes it sound more raunchy, the pre knob controls how much of a signal goes into the actual fuzz.
