Hi, Intro Time...

My names Jevon, been playing for 12-years on and off, not the greatest player (lack discipline need to practice more...) I play blues, rock & classic and a occasionally thrash out a bit of metal.

Gear..

1970 ?4?12 (model number has faded) Ibanez Concord 12 string acoustic, its the one that Gibson sued Ibanez over the "open-book" headstock, it's my first guitar and wont sell ever...
2008 Ibanez Talman custom semi acoustic "Skull" edition
1981 Aria Pro II Cardinal Series (LP style)
2002 Squire Bullet Strat
2006 LTD F-50

and ..... my 2010 Makai TK-65 Tenor Ukulele.

Will post pics when I can take a decent picture.

So that's about it in terms of stringed things.
Yeah, really digging the Uke scene, it's actually helped me improve as a guitarist as the limitations of the Uke force you to be more creative rhythmically and use more technique!

Ironicaly whilst learning to play Jake's version of while my guitar gently weeps on the Uke I actually busted my fretting index finger on some of the stretches, couldn't play for 3 months!

Some of the Jake Shimabukuro & Sungha Jung clips on YouTube are truly inspirational!

I've noticed more and more Uke's @ the local guitar shops these days, so it must be gaining popularity in SA, I had to import mine from the US who had to import from Asia.. so it's pretty well traveled!

Did you seriously break your finger playing a ukelele? That must have made the doc chuckle! ??? But anyways, welcome aboard
seriously, it sucked, got repetitive strain injury in the knuckle. I work with computers so always typing, then playing guitar & uke eventually something had to give.
