Which PRS would you choose old and new models. For the Gibson and Fender dedicated fan club what are your views?
Saddle and Nut
    I can't afford the PRS's I like ...
Not a fan. But if I was choosing, then this one:

It's like a nice combo of an SG and an LP Special. But somehow PRSs really do feel like combos. They don't feel like they have enough of their own thing. I'm sure that's great for the studio, for-hire guitar player, or the one who has everything, but for me I want a guitar that doesn't seem somewhere in the middle of the two standards.

Very classy looking but somehow they always disappoint in feel (they don't feel any better than a lot of other well-made guitars - Tokais in particular) despite their amazing looks, and particularly in sound. I always expect magic and then I'm like, "...huh. Ok."
The 305. The evolution of my favourite type of guitar - the humble strat. Muchos coolio.
Mine would have to be the Modern Eagle 3 25th anniversary, in black slate. BEAUTIFUL

For collectible reasons i'd choose the Dragon..... What a rad looking guitar

I have the PRS that sounds and plays best to me, Standard 22.... although without the fancy maple top this guitar is awsome, got a Tremonti in the bridge and a dragon II in the neck, wide thin neck profile.

If i had to buy another i think it woud be SC 58.
A while back I was GASing for a PRS. They are very pretty and build quality is excellent, but after surfing youtube demos I just didn't love the tone. If I had to get one it would be a CU24, 315 or the semi-hollow in angry Larry Purple ?
I am absolutely all gassed out ........ I have all the guitars I've ever wanted which includes a PRS Custom 24 with birds, and a Standard 24 with moons.
So purely for this exercise I would say that the only other 2 I would choose would be the 513 and the ME3, like the one above chosen by MikeyB.
There is a gold top PRS in Orianthi's video with Steve Vai. I think its a custom 24...

that one.. (I would post a vid but YouToob is not working here... )
I like the swamp ash on this one:

But this is the one I'd go for (Mira):

This is the one I had, they're discontinued now, I guess P90s not so popular but it was magnificent:

Nothing in the current range. There is a specific Singlecut SC245 that spoke to me recently (though the pickups didn't really do anything for me).
I always really liked the idea of the 513, but I haven't really played on enough PRS guitars to make my mind up about them. They look gorgeous and I quite like the necks, but I'm a bit on the fence.

Aubs,,,,,,, I need to pay you a visit,,, you have my dream guitar there ?
the first one i owned was a standard 22 with dragon ii pickups. man. everything about that guitar just spoke to me. i got it for literally next-to-nothing from andy's. (they'd over-stocked or something and there was a mark-down sale on a few.) it had a plain mahogany finish and was a plain guitar in most respects, except for what it did for my soul. i guess that's what the relationship between a player and a guitar should be eh? anyhoo, i eventually sold it on because i found someone who could do it more justice than i could.

i now own an '02 custom 22 in a funny green colour on a figured maple top and it's just beee-yoo-ti-fuel. i'm not sure what pups are in this beast, but i'd imagine they'd be dragon-based, although they don't quite have the same high-end squeal as the dragons in my standard. again, i'm not quite the guitarist to take full advantage of this instrument - or any instrument for that matter - and i spend most of my time playing my tokai.

what i'd go for? swampash special narrowfield. versatility and beauty, probably in the mccarty tobacco sunburst. but as i said, although i love my prs, my tokai is my primary instrument...

interesting to hear what some more experienced players have to say though...
                              dh
The Mira is probably one of the most versatile guitars that i have ever played, i havent played one that sounds bad. it's light which is great for my back.
I'd love to get my hands on 3 specific ones:

                                  1. Hollowbody II with 53/10s in Angry Larry
                                  2. Custom 24 trem with DGT in Blue Matteo
                                  3. ME I in the blue denim finish
                                    a month later
I've never met anyone that actually disclikes PRS. They all just perform so well in studio and on stage. As far as which one i would go for, hmmm probably one with with 57/08 Narrow field pickups. The Swamp Ash Special just sounds out of this world.
