Fender USA Deluxe Strat,G&L USA S500 or Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18

Hi Guys,

I have the option of purchasing any one of these fine instruments. I started off needing a good valve amp that is versatile, so the Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister was on top of my list. Since then I tested out a Fender USA Deluxe Strat and I fell in love with it. It would be interesting to know what other people would like to purchase right now if you had a chance! So please vote........

I really like the look of the Hughes & kettner and eagerly anticipte its arrival in ZA...plus the blue lights give it that cool look ?

Yip those blue lights look awesome. It has decent tone as well.

If the guitars look exactly as they do in the links you posted, I'd say the Strat. That is one good looking stratocaster.

i am gonna vote for the underdawg.... I say the G&L.... cause i've always wanted one, one o my fave guitarist plays one, I gotta have one, maybe next year.... I'd actually take a G&L over fender, simply cause its not as common.

Turnkey Music have the G&L range of guitars. I heard good things about the Fulcrum Bridge on these guitars.

do turnkey bring in the S500 range as well?

Those i saw were lower priced than what i calculate the S500 would cost

Yip, They just received a shipment of the USA range of guitars. They have the USA S500 in stock. Its a bit pricey but they look good and have some nice features. I want to go and test them out soon.

i'd buy the amp......... that hughes & kettner is a new release on market and means it will not be available 2nd hand for a while...... so if you want one buy one soon before they sell out and you have to wait for the next shipment which could be in 6 months

I would get the Fender if the choice is between the guitars only.
The S-500 is a copy (does n't matter how good the quality) of a Fender and the latter will have a much better resale value than the former IMHO.
If you can afford to buy the real thing, buy the Fender.

The agents say in sometime in November if they are lucky. Initially they told me September/October. I hope it arrives soon.

I have a new Fender American Deluxe strat... Most amazing instrument ive ever played, it has a Swamp Ash body instead of the normal alder and it obviously has the S1 switching... The S1 switching makes it a real versatile strat with alot of tones and sounds to play around with.. The bridge is probably my favourite part of the guitar, real comfortable trem!!
