  • Which scale to improv over this chord progression??

ok - this is a serious question for the brains trust.

what scale can be used to play over the following chord progression?

its a slow strummed, clean song so not a trasher number..

G F#m7 D#7 D7

G F#m7 E Em7

Am Am7 Cm

G Am7 D7 G

the spacing kind of indicates the timing.
By the looks of it, the key changes, so you are gonna have to change to. Looks standard G major, but then the D#7 comes in, in which case, maybe throw in an apreggio, or play D#mixolydian.

And with the changes from Em to Emaj, you gonna have to chnage scales, or else there will always be that 'bad' note you play

eish - thats why I asked as I kept on getting the "bad note" on the accent, which really sucked the joy out of things...

guess its more of a jazzy aproach then - except it would be possible to hit plenty bad notes..

so basically - there is no one size fits all with this?? going to have to aprpoach each chord separately then?
