I really want to get a Tech 21 SansAmp VT Bass, but NO shops stock them! As far as I know there is only one guy in Durban who brings them in and charges a butt-load of crap for them! I found descent prices on Amazon, but I don't know if buying online is a safe play? Anyone else bought online before? What are legit sites to check out?

Ebay has yet to let me down!! Some great deals there!!

ebay and Amazon are perfectly good alternatives for buying online...
regarding ebay - I have had a few queries and it seems people dont quite understand how eBay works..
eBay is not like our Gumtree or Bid or Buy....
besides some private people selling 2nd hand gear on eBay. there are also plenty of legitimate shops that have a virtual ebay store online as well..
in the past I have bought a few 2nd hand items from private individuals, but mostly, by far, I buy from the online shops on eBay, many of whom are authorised agents for most of the big name brands, so you are getting genuine parts etc etc... at really good prices.
so dont think ebay is just private sellers trying to dump 2nd hand stuff... by far the biggest sellers on ebay are actual legal shops.
