Well... if United beat Sunderland 9-0 and City beat QPR 7-6, they would have both scored the same and conceded the same and ended on the same goal difference, meaning a title play-off!!! ?
Think it will happen? ?

Yeah, you're right unfortunately... United would probably concede an injury time own goal to make it 9-1 :-\

So does this interest anyone? 3 more days ?

i have always thought ingesund should be bafana coach , that man can and has worked miracles at clubs in the past and no reason that he should not be given the nod...... no....safa insist on employing highly expensive overated buffoons when gordon i reckon would do a better job for much less cash

Holding thumbs that Bolton can somehow get the 3 points at Stoke to see QPR relegated instead.

QPR just equalized. ?
Go QPR!!!
What a crazy soccer day.

Who else watched the deciding match?
ActionArnie
Was watching the Arsenal game and flicking across to City every so often. At about 90 minutes and QPR leading 2-1 it looked done and dusted for United. Switched back after the final whistle at the Hawthorns to see the replay of Aguero's goal to give city a 3-2 lead.
That has to be THE most incredible end to a title chase!
Giggsy this may come in handy: ?

That's quite funny Arnie... actually brought a smile to my face which has been hard to do! :'(
So who is with me? Lets start a South African curling team and go to the next Olympics. London might be a bit too close for us to get everything together in time ?
Man, that hurts... but for the neutral what an ending. I personally went from a high to a crashing low in a minute. United stuck in there through a tough season and to lose only on goal difference against a team of City's riches (without our captain and best defender for most of the season and some other tough periods with lots of injuries). And yes, I am clearly bitter, but City did buy the title... People will argue that United spend a ton of money, and yes, they do, mainly through income generated through selling out the stadium week in, week out, sponsorships and income generated through merchandise sales. All this is due to a culture at the club, years of building a winning mentality and philosophy, going way back to the days of Best, Charlton and Law and seen in the desire of a 70 year old man who will be taking this loss harder than anyone. Not because we got ourselves a sheik.
A friend (a Liverpool supporter) told me that yesterdays United line up was worth 8 million pounds more than City's. Yip, probably, didnt check but sure he was right. But stats are misleading. Rio joined us for 30 odd ten years ago, Rooney for 25 in 2004, plus all our signings at the start of the season played, the ones signed to replace Neville, O'Shea, Brown who came through the youth system and Van Der Sar who was a bargain. But City's squad has been built over just a couple of seasons, and their bench, with Dzeko, Balloteli, Milner etc, plus take into account players like Adebayor, Santa Cruz and Bridge who they have sent off on loan, and you see how much money they have. The sheik could have bought West Brom and they would have won the league.
Its just not sustainable - they are playing real life Football Manager. But what consoles me is the fact that they will be nowhere again in 10 years. Look at Blackburn - after huge investment in the early 90s they were promoted and won the Premier League. They were relegated yesterday.
Rant over! :-[
But I am glad that United's relinquishing of the title can bring joy to millions. Its going to take a while to get over for me - not watching the news, going on Facebook or checking the football websites for a few weeks. Still got my Red Devil tattoo and will be a fan all my life, but yip, curling does look quite appealing right now, even its just to chuck a stone at Joey Barton's head.

I felt the pain for the Man Utd Supporters. I watched my father in law go through these extreme emotions in 2 minutes. And it's not like Man Utd haven't won any trophies recently, but it hurts to lose to City.
You couldn't write a better script than this one, and it was hot stuff at the bottom, Bolton and QPR changed places and I suppose Mark Hughes will get that Million Quid for keeping them up!
All this talk about Newcastle doing well and Pardew getting awards etc, but look who beat them, Everton! David Moyes also does wonders with a mediocre squad and he has done it for years. A great Manager
Liverpool lost again and is this how far they have fallen, battling to finish in the top ten?
Spurs could rue their bad form as well, especially if Chelsea beat Bayern and they get the 4th spot.
What a great climax to the season! No I wont get drawn into the Man City bought team debate, but it does seem a bit of a hollow victory.
Hats off to Ferguson who on paper does not have the players that City, Arsenal, Chelsea and even Spurs have but on the last day to lose out on goal difference! And 20 odd points ahead of the rest! The Greatest Manager of all time....
IceCreamMan
Great season, great finale too ....utd grasped defeat from the jaws of vicotry over the course of the season .. they were beaten by city in both legs so i guess its fair in the greater scheme of things
bye bye bolton, blackburn and wolves (blackburn are previous premisership winners)
hello Saints , REading and one other.
maybe a new time in the league with city dominating , who knows ......success breeds success esp in the premiershuip where success guarentees finanacial rewards and finances are required for success....

Season after season I'm absolutely astounded at how Fergie manages to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Getting Scholes back was a masterstroke and made the difference. One minute from winning the PL against the oil-funded riches down the road is a massive achievement.
Surely now though United will get a couple of quality players in over the summer. AF has sent thinly veiled pleas to the Glazers to dip into their pockets after recent months and I suspect to see some largish signings in the off-season. Scholes and Giggs may have one more season but surely they can't last forever.

I think just having them around training with the rest of the players is worth signing them on for another year, even if they only play against the Wigans, Southamptons and Liverpools of this world. ? Couldnt resist ?
Im interested in what City do in the transfer market though - many, many players who could be sold, but do they then go out and buy guys like Higuain, Llorente and Hazard? Hopefully they will rest on their laurels and not sign anyone new but I doubt it!
