Hi everybody

wanted to see the vintage gear members on the forum are having; guitars, amps, pedals....

vintage, although difficult to define, is for me anything into the late seventies...(broad definition of vintage i know)

let me start with 2 guitars; the hagstrom Viking from 1968 and its brother, a fender coronado from 1966 (picked up thanks to Mika)

and it is a coincidence that these are two guitars that Elvis also used ?

cheers!!

    Nice guitars. Congrats.
Heres my 1972 Gibson SG Standard...almost twice my age ?

      Heres the neck volute:
My Ibanez 1973 ish Les Paul Recording Copy (Mod 2372) MIJ

My 1976 Ibanez Artist 12-String after re-fretting and replacing nut and bridge and building in a Fishman pickup with pre-amp

a few pics of my 1968 - early 70's Aria ES175 copy.... i also have a vintage Elk ES30 amp which i will post pics of later the amp is from the same period 1968 - early 70's.... i also have a 70's japanese made and labelled in japanese suzuki classical guitar with a very clear bell like tone , and a yamaha classical from the late 60's - early 70's too

below is my late 60's early 70's yamaha classical it is special cos it has a 660mm scale length not 650 like most modern ones...... and is seems to be a yamaha copy of a ramirez if one looks at the scale length and the neck profile......

below is the label of my 70's suzuki classical guitar sadly no pics of actual guitar i used this pic to get it translated thanks to singemonkeys friend ....... before that i never even knew what guitar it was

so seems i have 4 pieces of gear from late 60's - early 70's and i love em dearly , something very special about old gear

NOW IF ONLY I HAD A '59 FENDER "toploader" TELECASTER to add to this in vintage white of course , I'd die happy

A thing of beauty. I would trade ANY part of my anatomy for one of these.

I get the sentiment, but you could actually just trade money to buy one in Japan and have it shipped over. ? I've seen some great Burny double-neck clones from the early eighties advertised on Yahoo Japan and the like that are not outrageously expensive.

Edit: This baby is for sale in Oz right now:

                            Mint condition apparently.

I also have a weak spot for those early to mid seventies Ibanez

this is an Ibanez 684 from 1975
mint condition when i bought it (this happens when a bass player buys a guitar)
Already removed the pu (which was also installed on the outside) and had to reglue the brigde (common thing on these guitars)
but besides that, sounds and looks beautifull

This is now my main guitar, a gibson L 48, from 1956, bought already a while ago from Andy
Sound is brilliant; super fast neck (it is like playing an electric guitar)

                                That L48 is AWESOME!!!
                                  thanks Mike
My first gibson, and normally I dont look so much at gibson guitars and just for fun i picked it up and was sold. Also it is not as big as nornal acousic which make it nore fun to play. A very unique sound
