  • What to buy with this amount of money ?

So I've got about 2000 dollars and I want a new Electric Guitar...
I want heavy and aggressive sound
I play bands like Machine Head , Lamb of God, Metallica, Judas Priest, ...
What do you recomend?
I think of ''Jackson Phil Demmel King V''... I really love that instrument.... Any idea about it ? And anyone knows the price?
What amp do you have? If you still need a good amp as well (that sort of music does not sound too lekker acoustically from a V) then buy second hand, anything with EMGs will work fine. The amp however, ......
Buy my ESP Truckster (James Hetfield Signature model)... Comes standard with an EMG 81 and 60 and the mahogany body with set mahogany neck gives more bottom-end than many other metal-orientated guitars... Condition is virtually brand new...
Oh I just forgot abmnut the Amp.
I have 500 dollars for the amp.
2000 for the Guitar and 500 for amp

Truckster... If It was Snakebyte I would buy it ? but I really want a V now.... Not Les Paul
My advice: spend equal amounts on guit and amp and forget buying new. You will get a great guitar that you drop significant cash on and still not sound the way you want.

                I mean About 12,000 RAND

I have. Both have short scale lengths and feel similar in this regard. Overall the EC1000 is more comfortable imo and stock will sound better if metal is what you're after -as long as its the version with an EMG 81/60 set... You'd have to upgrade the pups in the Explorer to match the LTD's metal tone however. If you're after a metal axe and you don't mind the Les Paul shape, I'd go for the LTD or preferably a real ESP if you have the choice...
