yes i know it's a behringer , but i had the model up on this a few years back and always loved the amp

anyone have any experiences with the Palmer Guitars . all of this is gonna be bought online .. my other option guitar wise is a SX telecaster . as always on a tight budget .
so. dunno much about palmers, but one thing i do know for certain is that there are a heck of a lot of options out there between the R2000 and R2500 mark. i would strongly suggest that you spend some time looking hard and playing before deciding that buying online is really for you. i'd personally never do it, unless i was buying a high-spec, personalised, or custom-built guitar, and i'm nowhere near that league as a player or spender.

just looking at gumtree, i found a good few axes on offer around R2500. i've never done the gumtree thing, but i'd far rather go for something second-hand and get someone else's hard-earned loss than buy one of my own.

as for the behringer, can't help you there, but it looks as though that's a discontinued model. if that's the case, you might also be able to pick it up second-hand for less, and be able to put the balance into the guitar. i dunno. amps ain't my thing - sounds dumb when both are so important to a guitarist's sound, but i'm only just now starting to appreciate the fact. i would imagine, however, that a modelling amp would more or less be surpassed in technology about as fast as the average computer - moore's law essentially applies - but there'll be enough of the things hanging around waiting to be upgraded by dumb*sses who think they're redundant just because there are newer ones out there. sheesh. i think there may be a circular argument in there somewhere, but i hope you get my drift; you can buy it all new, sure, but look around for bargains on the second-hand market, you never know what you might find.

    good luck.

+1 on second hand... you'll get a better guitar at the same price (not that I know much about Palmers)
Tailon, i see you're based in the same area as me.
I've got an Ibanez JS100 going for R 3500.00 onco.
You're more than welcome to come check it out, if you're interested.

        Let me know.

        Cheers
