Hi there,

Really glad there is a local guitar forum! This is great.

I’m Jared, in my twenties, been playing guitar for about 7 years. I’m into rock and blues. Influences- Hendrix (of course), SRV, John Mayer, Yes, Muse, RHCP, Pearl Jam, Clapton, Knopfler, etc.

I play on a Fender Strat Highway1 and a Cort (not sure the model). Play through a Peavy Bandit amp with 12" Scorpion speaker, and a Marshal AVT20 which I love (really recommend the AVT range!) and Ibanez TS9 Tube Screemer (Yip, typical SRV tone wanna-be ? ).

Anyway, hopefully ill find some people to jam with; I’m the Woodmead area, JHB.

Welcome Jared. I am planning to organise weekly jam sessions for a bunch of guys (learning and having fun). Will be mostly contemporary blues 12 bar kinda stuff. Keep a lookout for it!
