Here's a pic of my new acoustic. A Taylor 214e. My acoustic collection is growing nicely, and my wife understands
she'd rather have me spend money on guitars than hookers and booze ?

Good Stuff. What other acoustics have you got?
Hey Squonk. I got a TW45FLRB (Tanglewood Super Folk all solid)

It's might be only 2 guitars, but 2 months ago i had no acoustics ? So it's a good trend so far
I quite like the look of those x14's without a cutaway! Kiff looking guitar man! ?
Congrats man, that Taylor is sweet .......

Sure, but are those the choices you gave her?

Canadian ceder if I'm not mistaken..

OP, which sound do you perfer, the tanglewood or the taylor? They must be very different sounding instruments, surely?
they are completly different beasts, they Taylor plays beautifully, the neck is silky smooth. It's got the typical bright Taylor Sound, It responds quite nicely to heavy strumming
The Tanglewood sounds alot warmer, and to my ear it sounds better for soft strumming and fingerpicking. I like both actually, but right now if i could only keep one, it'd probably
                  be the Tanglewood.

It is a solid Canadian cedar for the top of the Tanglewood, and a solid Sitka Spruce for the Taylor
Congrats - a nice guitar indeed.

Give the Taylor a year or two and it may well catch up and pass the Tanglewood tonally - spruce always seems to take a bit longer to really settle in than cedar. Cedar on the other hand sounds better (to my ear) than spruce from the get-go, but seems to mature at a slower rate.
