my final gig at the palace hotel (sun city)30th april /1st May new sun city gig

a sentimental moment :'( as my 6 month contract here at the Palce hotel comes to an end tonight after one final dinner set ,

it's been an awesome gig, and i will be sad to leave ,

HOWEVER NO REST FOR THE WICKED........ as i may be leaving the luxurious palace ...but not sun city itself .....i been offered and accepted a 3 month gig inside the Harlequins casino at the main hotel at sun city...doing a 6 shows a week , and the fun thing this gig will be more of a bar gig than a restaurant one so i get to be more vibey than slinky ....... i love being slinky but after 6 months of just slinky one can do with some vibey shows.....

so after tonights final dinner show .i pack my gear and set it up tomorrow 1st may at the harlequins casino

so if you at sun city in next 3 month (may /june /july) come pop in at Harlequins casino and catch a set or two ..... gig is from 10pm -1 am nightly except tuesdays .....

ps. no worries i will still be teaching in jhb and pta some days of the week

I'm not allowed to stay up that late anymore. Well, have a great one tonite and all the best for the new contract.

ahhh stephen spoken like a true fishhoek boy, no late nights so you can be up at 5am to surf ........ i get you ......... ?

but really remember this is my job ..... so i can sleep till 5 in the afternoon and believe me if you working casino's anywhere in the world you wanna be performing "around midnight" that when it all happens..... by that time mom and dad have put little johnny and jenny in bed, hired a sitter and hit the tables..........after 10 ......... oh and yes they do pay me very well to do this........ ?

? goodness no........ part of the contract is that they supply me with an apartment and meals , i actually live in a part of sun city called the old village it's right over the road from the superbowl inside the complex( most other staff live outside in a staff village ) so i'm on the premisis 24/7 and can walk to my gigs...or enjoy sun city's entertainment/restaurants when i'm off. so very convenient .obviosly i travel home (pta) when i'm off....... but thats only 150km
