A bit slow at the Office today

Watching "The Eagles Farewell Tour 1" DVD. I am not a fan, but will always watch anything that has a guitar in it.

Worth watching if you want to see guitars, Gibsons, PRS, Fender, Ric's, Takamine etc etc.(basically play a different one on every song, and there are plenty of songs, Freaking show offs)

They have a guitarist Steuart Smith who replaced Don Felder and he pulls off all the licks and solos with ease and close to the original, seems like a great player.

What the freak is Joe Walsh on, he always looks half stoned, I enjoy watching him, but Don Henley and Glen Frey are too predictable.

For Fans only

Steuart Smith is a good guitarist... but Don Felder was better IMO.

I'm quite a fan of The Eagels... I think they are one of those bands that doesn't really change their recipe too often, if ever! I mean their Hell Freezes Over DVD is pretty much the same as Farewell 1, and that is a good couple of years between the two! but for some reason I still like them! A lot! ?

+1 on Joe Walsh! Always looks like he has escaped from some institute, but I reckon he makes up for it on the guitar. ?

They changed the recipe quite a lot from their first album to Hotel California. I think after that - their most commercially succesful phase - they stuck to a winning formula.

I'm never sure if he's a great player, but he's a very effective player. Some of his solo albums were very good ("The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get" and "So What") and "Life's Been Good" showed that he had a sense of humour.
