Kalcium While I do love a good humbucker guitar (LOVE my sg...) I LOVE my strat too! In fact, I have 2 of them ? 1 mexican 1 affinity squire, just couldn't live without a strat you know...heres pics of my beauty, im colourblind and dont know my colours that well but its a sort of metallic blue matte finish with a pearloid pickguard and kinman pickups... (PS i do normally cut my strings after stringing, just couldn't find the cutters at the time...)
Dingwall Ok you big strat heads, what is best: a Maple strat or a Rosewood Strat? (fingerboard obviously....) I personally feel safer with rosewood, i.e. seems to be more versatile and easier to get a good sound through different amps or live settings etc. But that's me and my sound and it doesn't necessarily make it better....

Keira-WitherKay ? i love my strat too , but prob love my tele more , but that's just cos i'm in a tele tone phase musically . In fact i love all things electric fender makes their strat's , tele's , jaguar's and their tube amps are just my taste , but afraid i've never liked their acoustics at all . But this is a strat love thread so acoustics don't count ? but yeah fender tone is what floats my boat. Thanks leo
IceCreamMan Aha ,,time to resurrect this thread ? for about 6 months i hardly played my beloved strat ,focussing on my LP instead...then i awoke on Friday the 1st and a loud voice said to me "play the Strat" so i did and i found it to be good and the love affair was rekindled ........ that is all ?
AlanRatcliffe I know exactly what you mean. My Strat is "home" for me these days - I often go on trips to other guitars for a while, but always return home. ? The only other guitar that gets almost as much play time is my Carvin NS-1 nylon.

Lol, I have another strat-style guitar which Im loving now (far less "flash beautiful", more of a "jeans and t-shirt beautiful" strat) and the MIM is just the more sellable of the 2... I just got my license and need to start saving towards getting a car so I can't keep as many "nice to haves" around when their general sound is already covered...☹
