What do you collect (other than the obvious...)

giggsy · 2011-02-21T11:20:46+00:00

So, what do you collect? Over the last year or so I've been collecting signed music memorabilia - here are a few of my favourites: The signed pickguard is Pete Best - drummer in the original Beatles from the Hamburg days. The Cribs LP - the top signature is Johnny Marr, ex-The Smiths - he soundtracked my high school years R.E.M. Biffy Clyro Muse Kings of Leon White Stripes Green Day And then my pride and joy frame - The Manic Street Preachers, fully signed The Clash CD cover and Weezer

CLASSIC intj behaviour. I suffer from the same.

Interesting reveal. Since that statement of Bob's would apply probably to most people.

INTJ? Is this one of those Briggs-Myers things?

Tonedef

Yup. I remember you being one of "them". ?

INTJ types tend to constantly seek out new sources of stimulation, attack it from all angles, then grow bored with it and onto the next thing. As a result, INTJ/P types are usually people who can discourse knowlegably in a stunning variety of topics.

Ah yes! I disputed the results, and a second test put me in a different pigeon hole.

Well it is true that I can talk bollocks about almost anything.

Simply by reading your posts on here, I would put you firmly in the INTJ camp. There are disadvantages of course. It's hard to imagine a more opinionated, hardegat, cantankerous, curmudgeonly bliksem than an INTJ ?. And they usually know what they're talking about so arguing with them is like scaling a cliff.

Hey, X-rated? ?

If my 416 Rigby's cartridges cost what they do, I don't even wanna know what you pay for one of those. Definitely a feeling of remorse just before you pull the trigger.

They are, massively expensive, and the gun itself is probably priced by its weight in gold

http://www.vincelewis.net/60magnum.html

To curb some intrest this is a video of a single shot pistol wich uses the same cartridge, but is highly uncontrolable as its much lighter than the Pfeifer & Zeliska revolwer I posted a pic of (it is also 8times more powerfull than th S&W .44 magnum ?)

Edit: ~~what the hell is going on now here again ???~~ ? fixed

So by the fact that Bob has a valid argument against this "diagnosis" confirms it? The whacky-world of Myers-Briggs.

If you say so.

I "win" very few arguments. Besides, most of the fun is in the arguing rather than the winning or the losing.

No, the online tests only give an indication, if he took the real deal they'd nail his MBTI down like a laser guided bomb.

Zackery!

(I didn't mention anything about winning or losing arguments, eh?) ?

I used to think that on-line behaviour was a reliable indicator of real world behaviour, but I'm not so sure these days. Some people may present in real life quite differently than they do on a forum like GFSA. Forming opinions about people based on what I read here is inescapable, but I'm prepared to find out that I didn't get the whole picture. It's quite possible that those GFSAers who have met me in real life find some differences between what they see here and what they find in other contexts. (I haven't asked - I don't think it polite)

Tonedef

One day I'll buy you a beer and you can ask me. ?

You're right, Bob. I discovered you also have a head and torso.

I have every Calvin & Hobbes collection. Plus, I made sure my son looks (and behaves!) exactly like Calvin. Drives my wife mad...

Malkav

I collect cows...

I have Cow print blankets, Cow blankets with pictures of real cows, Little fluffy stuffed cows, cows in toy cars, Cow air fresheners, Cow posters in my room, Cow bookstands, Cow candy dispensers, Cow teddy bears and hopefully one day a cow print guitar ? Like that Moocaster from the Guitar pron section ?

I also hope to one day own a real cow ? That would be the bizniz ?

Tonedef

When you get your moo cow, just dont invite squonk over, he collects sausages... ?

from growing up on a farm I can testify the following:

COWS ARE THE DUMBEST THINGS after sheep..... ?

but I'd like to have the farmlife back again, nothing beats the smell of animal manure in the morning.... haha

But the absolute winner of brainlessness is ofcourse our trusty eggprovider: the chicken, the words to describe a chicken are to dumb for human minds to understand

...mario... wrote until I moved I used to collect and cultivate rare indigenous and african succulents, especially the aloe family.

A man after my own heart! I've been known to do my plant shopping in places as obscure as Leeu-Gamka..! Cape winters are way too soggy for them though (The garden moves indoors for 6 months a year) so I fantasize regularly about buying a piece of the Karoo... ?

Apart from succulents, I can't say no to books... our house is bursting at the seams with them!

We'll end up living up the road from you in the Karoo too then. In two houses overflowing with books. I bought another 7 foot bookshelf last year and was stacking books on the floor again two months later.
