No-one?!? ??? Am I an idiot or something to like these bands :-\, or is this a first hear for many?

I personally think it's one of the poorest Ramfest lineups to date so I'm not THAT keen to go but still possibly might. It'll be more of a "my friends are going so we can get drunk and chill for a few days" and not a "im soo stoked to see these bands" mission though.
---mario---
well, if I go it'll be for Alkaline trio, Zebra & Giraffe (want to see what tey're like) and Desmond, saw them at Hotbox a couple of weeks ago and they're pretty good live. The other's that I don't like or find out that I don't like I'd probably walk away and hang around with random people along with my cuz and friends. So its more like, "getting away from studying and being in young company" mission for me, but I still think it could be pretty good

i agree, weakest lineup ever - but I'll probably still go for the party. Kind of weird having ramfest with no Lark/Fokof - usually the highlights.
Band i'm most amped to see is not my dog - nostalgia!

are you sure not my dog is playing in the Cape, coz thats the Jo'burg lineup, as far as I know only the first 6 will be playing at all the venues
Didn't Fokof break up? Well thats what I heard though...

I must say also its not the best of lineups, but I dont know what would make it better probably just my preferance...
I think Van Coke Cartel are one on the worst bands ever = 0 points
I think Desmond and the tutu' are a novelty group, who rely on one trick to be popular = 0 Points
I think Isochronous, are full of themselves arts students (which they are) and COMPLETLY rip off MEW and throw in ridiculous arm throws and jazz solo's= 0 points
I think Not My Dog, should be put down, or should have for the last 5 years = 0 points
Pestroy and Knave are also really bad I think, I base this on numerous experiences with the mand of them = 0 Points
Dance you're on Fire, and Zebra and Giraffe are my friends so I shall not include them...
Alkaline Trio, eh, yeh I know one or two songs, not amazing, just and old band that was big when i was 13...... that died out.
Funeral For a Freind, another welsh group which started out ok and then got very bad..... along with lost prophets...
Sum total of 0 POINTS

R250???? ??? Erm, Try
R450.00 And that is where the festival lost me. Had it been R250, it definatly would have been worth it. But now NO WAYS.
In a strange way, I have to agree with Mika on what he said, except I can go one futher and say:
Zebra and Giraffe are sell outs who rely heavily on the money they were given to make it big (and sound good) = 0 points.

double fail, I'm going back to the nothingness which I call a hometown then,
can you maybe throw me a link on it, I'll try googling it in the meantime
found it, looks like it can work out to be brutally expensive with traveling, etc. costs
Manfred-Klose
I stopped going to ramfest after the 3rd ramfest.
it was lots of fun, i cant remember that i watched any bands. ?
---mario---
haha, I think you went for the same reasons I want to go....
FruitarGeek
Mario. If you only paying R250 for Ramfest then GO. For the amount of bands you will see it will be well worth it. It will be an experience you have to do at some point.
But if not look out for OppiKoppi, Rocking the Daisies and Synergy, all massive festivals
---mario---
kwl, got my tickets anyway a couple of days ago, will see whats its like
