Last night we played at a place called Bundu Lodge right outside Welkom along with One Crown, "ekhouvanjou, okay!", Soos Herfs and a few more.

Although we've played on larger open rugbyfields etc. with massive sound systems before, the engineers behind it sucked 80% of the time and the mix was awful!.
But last night's sound was the best I've ever played on (except for the drunk requesting Kaptein). The fans loved us and could hear the vocals properly for the first time ever.
We played in a hall type venue, but the echo wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Best of all.. I could properly crank my Vox for the first time at such a gig without overpowering everything. ?

You can check a few pictures of the band with the sound system on our fb page: http://www.facebook.com/wakingbreath

It looks like there is a few talented live sound engineers left in SA..to my surprise

Putting any tracks up soon? Quite interested to see what you do with dual female vocals.
Yeah I think it's a really unique aspect of our band.. And WOW they can really sing.

We're heading for the studio sometime in March or maybe sooner if everything goes according to plan.
Next Saturday is the studio tour, and then we're deciding from there on.

Will certainly post on the forums and fb page when it's done. ?
Dude, that's Juanne Steenkamp, the dude with the blond dreads! He did your sound? He has done our sound many times before! Rock on! ? He has his own outfit called 'SoulJah'.
          Yeah that's him!!

He's really awesome, our drummer went to his next show just to chat to him on Saturday, he really knows what he's doing.

          Rock on!
Is that you on the Epi Explorer?
I got the Epiphone Goth Explorer....much smaller.
Hahaha that's our other guitarist, I'm the boring guy to the left with the Ibanez.
It's actually funny, he bought it from our drummer for 1k! In mint condition. No one believes it when he tells them though. Really awesome guitar and very diverse pickups.

But I've decided I'm buying myself a fender deluxe 72 reissue soon!

Edit: I'm the boring dude to right ?
