GFSA 1st Birthday Competition

NorioDS · 2008-09-09T15:33:44+00:00

We're running a competition to celebrate our 1st year of rocking in the forum! It's simple... 1. Record your OWN version of Happy Birthday (can be fusion, jazz, metal, punk, whatever!) 2. Upload it to the web using our funky new uploader tool thingie. 3. Create a new topic under "Recordings" and link to your recording and also upload some pics of you playing guitar. 4. I'll then turn your MP3 + pics into a video for YouTube so we can get more hits. If you want to make your OWN video, go ahead, it saves me time and will probably look a whole lot better! If you can record yourself playing your recording, that'd be the best! Just remember, you HAVE to put www.MarshallMusic.co.za AND www.GuitarForum.co.za at the beginning and end of your video. That's part of our deal with Marshall! If I'm doing the video for you, don't worry I'll add that in myself ? 5. We'll then put it to the vote and announce the winners at the end of October. It's that easy, so GET RECORDING! ? Prizes... Stuart (bless his soul) at Marshall Music has organised us the following prizes... 1st Prize: Digitech Grunge Distortion pedal (worth R795), plus a set of strings. 2nd Prize: 40%-50% off (depending on supplier) on any purchase over R500, plus a set of strings. 3 Runners-Up: Dean Markley strings, Martin strings, Kyser capos, Warwick rock cables. The winners will be decided by YOUR votes. Get recording already!

Very nicely done, dude ? Video was well put together as well, kudos for saving me some time ?

Only thing is that the URL is: www.guitarforum.co.za (not www.guitarforumsa.co.za)

Can I trouble you to fix that for me please?

Curmic

Nah - We were so awe struck by your version that we have all become depressed and given up. I've started a support group TYGIACT-SA, (Turn your guitar into a coffee table SA) ☹

Nice work BTW ?

I'm gonna be making laaate entry because I've been KILLER busy, and only managed to start this today!
I sat in studio the whole day today (Monday) literally, just recording this song... two weeks worth of recording in 12 hours! I think my eyes are square lol
