Who else in Cape Town is doing Berklee's online Steve Vai course?

Steve Vai Guitar Techniques is starting this coming Monday. It's a three month online course run by Berkleemusic.com, the online part of the Berklee College of Music which, I believe, taught legends like John Petrucci and Vai himself.

I'm seriously thinking of joining. Is anyone else in Cape Town doing this? Might be fun to compare notes. Lame, I know...

Yep, $1,200 is alot. For me it's that or a very good new guitar.

Perhaps it feels more reasonable if compared to what three months of serious guitar tuition would otherwise cost.

I dunno. There are already a bunch of very good online tuition web-sites which target specific artist styles or songs. LickLibrary is a good one. I wonder what is offered for your $1200 that you can't find in another online course at a much cheaper cost.

It's just hard to imagine it's better value than getting a local shredder to teach you one on one, or getting 80 shred DVDs and working through them.
