I thought it be interesting to see who everyones favourite guitarist.

What is the difference between learning with an electric or an acoustic?
I heard that I should start with gut strings, because the other strings will hurt yor fingers, but I play the cello to, wher I also have to hold strings in, so won't my fingers be used to it yet?

I'm only starting now and I've never played before.
With what guitar should I begin with - acoustic or electric?
I was told by one guy that I should begin with an acoustic and by another that emectric is easier - what is really the best to begin with.
I want to play rock music but if acoustic is better I'll start with that.
What do you guys think?
