  • You must have insane resources....

Thanks so much guys, just really wanted to know what i was dealing with, looks like once I have my head around it I may need to upgrade...

    Thanks again
    • Thanks so much for the effort and info guys,

Its just amazing that there seems to be absolutely no info at all on the the web, i have searched for days.

Looking at it its pretty obvious that it isnt a high end instrument, but it doesnt look terrible... As for baffling yanks, i cant argue, just figured with their "resources" one of them would have a clue...

      Thanks again guys..

Is this the greatest mystery bass ever ?.............. we will see.
        • Greetings all,

I am new here, so please excuse any slights on my behalf.

After playing Guitars and Drums quite a while back, I recently found myself in possesion of a 5 string Bass, which I intend to learn to play...

Thing is, I cant find a single reference to the instrument on any of the normal channels (ebay, google et.) I haveposted this same topic on Talk bass, which I believe is an American forum and they are all baffled.

Granted, I havent been able to upload a pic as yet, but one will follow. The name on the body is CARSON (not CarLson), there are no obvious model numbers, it has a small "pointed" head stock.

The hardware looks decent and it seems to be quite well made, but i have no idea where it comes from or what it actually is.. I have come to SA from the UK, so maybe this is a local make im not familiar with?

If anyone can shed some light it would be greatly appreciated..

          Cheers
