Nobody does them locally. Do you want to use one direct to the mixer/ PA instead of using an amp?

I have a pedal from Tech 21, the Liverpool, which I use like that with great results. I highly recommend it or any of the Tech 21 Character series for running direct. For similar tones to the AMT P-1 and B-1, look at the Oxford and US Steel. www.tech21nyc.com/products/sansamp/characterseries.html
There is a local Tech 21 distributor. He could probably direct you to a store that stocks 'em: www.microdotmusic.com/index.php/tech-21

If you want an AMT, you're probably going to have to buy online. If you're planning to use one of these AMTs just as a distortion/ overdrive pedal, I'm sure they would work great for that as well. But, on the other hand, there are also plenty of other great choices available locally for that type of pedal.
Hey Thanks Mr T. I realize that the AMT pedals has to be plugged into the power-amp side of a guitar amp. This is not what I want. I just want to be able to plug it directly into the input of the amp. I guess I have to forget about the AMT pedals.

However, I have looked at the pedals you referred to on the tech21 site, and they look absolutely fantastic. Do you get them locally? Are they designed to be plugged into the input of an amp?

I have an old Tech21 GT2 that works fairly well, but it's also meant to be plugged into the power section of an amp, or DI!
Yeah, they won't work for what you want. Perhaps the pedal you were referring to in another thread might be an option?

The Tech 21 pedals are supposed to work with a PA or in front of an amp, though only some of them have a speaker emulation defeat switch to work better with a guitar amp. The ones that don't have the switch are much tougher to dial in in front of an amp, so I would look at the ones that do have the switch for that purpose.

      Locally available? Yes:

Thanks, I shall be doing some research this loooong weekend. I think doing the rounds on YouTube could offer some excellent demos on the Tech21 stuff!
