A life of seclusion

So For the past four years my social life has been dead :'( other than a few months when I was in that band.
All this time I have just been playing guitar and practising singing is this a normal thing ?

Pretty much. Most of the greats have been secluded for some time or the other just practicing away.

If you feel it's getting to you why not try get out?

It's trade off buddy. I'm sure you're getting plenty good with all that work you're putting in. Just don't forget to put the same effort into your social skills when you get out there with your next band ?

Its easier to make a guitar do what you want than a woman, just think of it like this 99% of the time the harder thing to do is the right thing to do :-[

very simple, find somewhere to go and just do it..... even if it feels random and strange and puts you way out of your comfort zone......

Luckly music is a great way to bond with people, go see a live show. I have gathered you like metal from your previous posts, there are so many shows, go see two of them.

Gigs are the number one spot also to pick up musicians ? Its where I pick mine up from

I'm with Keira, being a rock star means you need personality and inter human skills.
I stayed locked up while studding the first year and nearly lost my mind!

Party hard, work hard and play heavy!
Life is about having a balance, to much of one thing is always a bad thing!

Get out man... and you should consider getting a part time job, like a waiter? 8) pay some of those bills. At least then you doing something to support you until things start happening ?

Nothing helps your self esteem like knowing you can take care of yourself, and then being able to care for another person. You're ready, you just need to take the initiative. You'll get into a vicious cycle if you keep things the same. The excuse becomes the reason and so on.

If you think people don't like you, then find something about yourself you know they must like (unless they're psycopaths) and just let them know about it in no uncertain terms. People often feel threatened and take it out on someone they're not answerable to (you), that's why it can be hard to break into the job market and you need to be tough.

Build up your skills and even take training positions. I got jobs by putting an add in the paper saying I play the guitar... and I really value those experiences and they have helped me in so many ways. Put yourself out there over and over, SOMETHING will happen.

Got grade 9 and went to college. I then got a degree in n+ and A+ and been sitting on my ass all the time.

I have no confidence at all. I am terrified meeting new people. I don't now how to drive(no one has taken the effort to show me :'()

I don't really live close to shops at all.
