Does anyone know if we get Bugera Amps in this country? I've been looking into the Bugera V5, wow I just love its looks! And it sounds pretty good to me to.

Yeah dude i've checked it out. Was gassing for one a little while back, and still think I'm going to get one at some stage. Ask the guys at www.proaudio.co.za where you can find a dealer as they are the distributor. They don't sell direct to the public though. Last i checked they retail at R3299, but you might be able to knock a little bit off of that. There might not be any for sale in SA atm, in which case they would have to order for you.

Just think I should warn you that the people on here aren't too keen on the Bugera's though.. ? I think they're pretty cool, and they're cheap as. The V5 is pretty mod friendly as well, so I think you might be able to get some great tone out of it, at an unmatched price.

I have a question though with regard to importing amps from the States. I have always wanted to know will they work correctly here without any modifications? With regards to our difference in electricity.

hmmm.. this is true. something that i've left out of my calculations. you could get a step down transformer, stepping down from 220 to 110. that should do the trick. else, and this is something that might be done anyway to get it to sound better, get a new PT (power transformer).

i also like the fact that they show you the landed price too! only shipping wil be extra! damn!
