Hi my name is Wesley, I have been playing guitar for 2 years and absolutely love it! I am 20 years old and play a wide range of styles, from Tears in Heaven, to Tears don't fall haha recently been really loving melodic metal and metalcore, and then most recently have been interested in learning more theory and wanting to learn some more blues stuff, planning on learning Cream- Crossroads after exams are over!

Sorry this is a bit late, I didn't see this topic when I joined I think 2 weeks ago? ? something like that ?

I have a fender squire bullet strat (hoping to buy a MIM strat soon though...) a Cort M520 and a Cort VX-2V. I have a Marshall MG50DFX which I think sounds pretty awesome, especially after using a cheap practise amp for a year and a half, and especially for its price. Being a student has its limitations haha but as long as i have 6 strings to play on I will play! ?

Its the name I use for online gaming, my brother came up with it originally, something to do with a linux cmd prompt or something like that called Kalcium ?

hahaha true, our beach isn't simply a nice backdrop ? pity though would be good to see more durban forumers, I rate we scroll through gumtree and reply to anyone who appears to be a musician selling guitar equipment telling them about the forum ?

Hmmm.... don't spread lies about the beach. The water is plenty warm in Cape Town. It's possible to swim at least once or twice a year!
