To me it looks like solid wood with a veneer top.
+1. Looks like alder (or similar) with an ash veneer. Not unusual - alder is plentiful throughout Asia. A veneer is usually only paper-thin.
BTW, next time you have the neck off, enlarge the holes in the neck pocket a little - the neck screws should bite into the neck, but move freely through the body. Makes sure the neck is being pulled into the pocket properly.
