New audio interface?! Suggestions?

Ahoy GFers!
do any of you have some knowledge and suggestions about Soundcard/interfaces!

I really need some help deciding!

Basically Im looking for a firewire interface, something under R5000, that has 2 Mic pres as well as ADAT for future expansion.
Converter quality is the biggie as well as some decent sounding mic pre's!

So far I have narrowed it down to either, Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP or The TC Electronic Impact twin.

both seem pretty good for my purposes, anything else to add in the mix?

Help would be muchly appreciated!

I just bought myself a fast track pro, so I personally like m-audio, but i'm not sure they have firewire interfaces? I'm also not sure they are as "high tech" as the OP is wanting.

To the OP - Those are both great, I really like TC electronics stuff..

Slightly cheaper than the ones you're looking at, but I've heard only good things about them. Have a couple friends who use them and they swear by them! ? Just thought I'd throw it out there!

Yeah the thing is I already own a Presonus audiobox interface, it has served me well, but the one preamp stopped working and the drivers have been generally crappy!
So I am upgrading with the goal of improved Sound quality, most importantly the quality of the converters in the unit and the mic preamps as well as ADAT for future expansion!
I will check out some m-audio products tho...

Yeah im def leaning towards the TC. It seems great and has had some good reviews.

I was kind of hoping there would be someone on the forum who had either the TC electronics of the FOcusrite and could just push me either way! ?

Most of the ppl i see on the net, especially on youtube, uses the m-audio products, as well as the pre-amp from m-audio.
