Its a 2008 Gibson Les Paul Studio in Faded Cherry. I bought it off eBay when the rand started to dip so got it for a decent price I think.

Great guitar, congrats!

Did you buy it from a shop on e-bay or from a private person?

Shoe! was that a 3 week or something like that shipping?

Did you get a case with it?

I didnt really pay attention to that just made sure the seller had a top rating and there was eBay buyer protection but Ive just checked now and its a music store in Maryland, USA.

Bought it on the 2nd of October, it arrived and was released by JHB customs on the 13th. It then came down by bicycle or something as I intercepted it at Cape Mail on the 18th...

Sorry missed that question. Yes it came with the case. The ad said HSC (Hard Shell Case) so I thought oh well, I want a genuine case but the guitar was a good deal so I took it and it turned out to be OHSC (Original Hard Shell Case) ?

Very very nice. Congrats again

That shipping was super-cheap. Totally worth it.

So first practice with the lester. Firstly, its light Ive said this before but man its comfortable, 2 hours of practice and you arent adjusting the strap thats digging into your shoulder or shifting your weight etc. Its just so playable, maybe the shorter scale lengh suites me but I find hitting the notes easier and my hand seems to get less tired. Tone wise no complaints either, TS9 with a bit of dirt into a valve amp and you've got just that little bit of breakup, used the bridge pickup mostly.

Only negative thing was the strap buttons came loose, glad I noticed it. Tightened it back down but it worked itself loose'ish again in no time. May go straplocks but in the mean time I was thinking of snipping a bit of a match off, tiny bit of wood glue and shoving it down the screw hole and letting it dry to give the screw something more to bite on.

Schaweet axe Nick 8) Dig the finish.

I also found the scale length of my LP's to be more comfortable after playing RG's for years.

Good call on the straplocks. That's the first "mod" I did when I got mine.

Rock n Roll!!!
