Yep, the Gibby arrived.
Its a 2008 Gibson Les Paul Studio in Faded Cherry. I bought it off eBay when the rand started to dip so got it for a decent price I think.
The specs:
* 50's neck
* Burstbucker Pro pickups
* Rosewood fingerboard
* Mahogany back and top
* Chambered body (its light!)
* Gibson Case
It was set up all weird, low E string height was huge compared to the high E, pickups are set the same so its all out of sync. Neck is also settling as its quite hot in Cape Town and probably quite different from wherever it came from in the US. I used to play a Epi Les Paul in my early giggin days (10+ years ago..) but Id forgotten how small a Les Paul feels, moreso since Ive been playing the Epi Dot mostly at practices ? Finish looks like it'll wear especially on the neck, as you can see on the white case lining the finish is already rubbing off a bit.
