Sticker Woes

Ola all So the Z4 came with that protective stickering on the back electronics cover. When I removed it it left marks as in the photos below. Any ideas how to get these marks off? I dont see that the marks are in the plastic itself and I just tried StaSoft and Handy Andy to no avail.

As soon as I sort out my home internet, I'll post some pics of the old glue on the axe I worked on, old glue that was on for years, it was really thick and hard but eventually came off.
Thinners :-\ not sure hey,,,, use at your own risk,,

Ok so just tried the first round and it got the glue off from the non scratchy side.

I can now also see clearly that it is scratched. Do I just use 1000grit to remove those?

only scooter I'd consider is a Ruckus, I had one in the UK with a 250cc swap in it, pity they don't sell them in SA.

not mine, but it was stretched as much.

infernox

even an import isn't going to be that cheap...........I was looking for an NSX a while back, and R34's were upwards of 20K £

infernox

R34's are 20-35 for the GTR, for the GTS its 8-9. Found this company who specialises in them.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I thought that you were going GTR......nothing wrong with the GTS......

Don't write off the supra TT................or the R33 GTR...........

infernox

I want a r34 and then Ill make it look like a GTR without the taxes and insurance.

If not then itll be a UK spec FD Mazda RX7 or if I have a 35K+ per year paying job then Ill buy a Fiat 500 Abarth Essessess (180bhp)

If you can get it... light petroleum ether. it'll clean off any glue gunk and not harm the most delicate plastic.
I've used it for years to clean fingerprints and samoosa juice from transparencies and photographs and it never ever damaged anything.
Benzine is second best... ?

infernox

samoosa juice....

I think I need to sand it...

Flatfour, the Fiat is a 1.4liter Turbo and lekker inside and out and it comes with a nice warranty.
