That's rather unfortunate. One thing to keep in mind, going from an IBZ to an LP is that the scale length is different. The looser string tension and smaller spaces in between the frets of the LP (24.75") is something I can't get on with (same with Alan). If you're used to the IBZ (25.5" Fender Scale) it might be a problem for you as well. I'd suggest trying to find something with a Gibson Scale Length just to make sure you do like the feel. I'm not saying you won't like it because they are great guitars, just that you should make sure you will get on with the feel, if possible.
