The production is so thin and tinny and dry, and there's very little melody. Every now & then I try again since it's the consensus masterpiece an' all, but no joy. ???
Different strokes I guess.
Each album has a different feel to it, Kill em all seems to be more grass roots and has a lot of feel to it, deff more hardcore than the newer stuff. Master probably has some of the best ever metallica tracks on there, IMHO (the best album), lightning deff feels more complete and dots all the i's and crosses all the T's. It's almost clinical.
I still say that if you're into playing metal, then the early metallica stuff has to be some of the most rewarding stuff to play.
